- The Liberian civil conflict lasted for fourteen unbroken years, which kept Liberians in abject and downtrodden conditions, which envisaged a continuous humanitarian assistance to manage their interest and welfare.
- The Higher Lajinah for Islamic Affairs during these years, underscored many urgent and selfless initiatives, by joining the inter-religious council at the inter-faith level, through the kind invitation of Catholic Bishop His Eminence, Bishop Micheal Kpakalla Francis, and also later joined the RRRC – known as the triple R-C program, aimed at bringing Liberians back home and doing resettlement programs around the country. The Higher Lajinah for Islamic Affairs went further to seek collaboration with international Islamic charitable and humanitarian institutions from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other Gulf countries of goodwill in the Middle East, to contribute to the needs of the Liberian refugees. The Higher Lajinah was instrumental in bringing many potential partners to help the Liberian people during these years.
